Greenfield Survey
(APoS)

The Greenfield Survey (APoS) is intended to create a new wireless network project.

The Greenfield Survey (APoS) is intended for customers who implement a new wireless network, replace an old technology, or move to another level of technical design to support a new technology. This study will create a new wireless network project, based on a certain technical degree.

It is done by bringing a test AP on site and lifting it, using a mast. Internal and external antennas can be used. The coverage from the test AP is mapped using the Ekahau Survey software, which is then moved to the next location. The process is repeated throughout the location. Spectrum analysis is done at predefined audit points throughout the location.

The Greenfield Survey (APoS) will provide the information needed to install new APs, based on a coverage or density model. This will include a spectrum analysis to identify RF interference and inappropriate APs that could affect the network.

Greenfield Survey (APoS) can be conducted according to the technical requirements of the customer. These are defined by different KPIs which usually fall into one of the following 3 categories:
Data Grade, Voice Grade & Location Grade.
